About

Hi! I’m Sarah Holden, a picture book writer and illustrator living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I just received a 2025 PB Pitch Party Honorable Mention for the Author/Illustrator Illustration Showcase. I also won a SCBWI Minnesota mentorship. I have licensed work through Minted and Blue Mountain Arts, and earned public art commissions from Summit County, Utah and Minneapolis, Minnesota. I have a fine art degree from Wake Forest University. Now I divide my time between a healthcare career (I work with mothers and babies as a postpartum nurse) and book illustration and writing.
